WRINKLE REDUCTION

Facial wrinkle lines are caused by repeated muscle contractions over time through facial expressions like frowning, smiling and squinting. This coupled with sun exposure and other lifestyle factors can make us look older and more tired than we feel.

Anti Wrinkle injections have been widely used for years to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and also help reduce excessive sweating. There are many different brands of Anti Wrinkle injections such as Botox, Azzalure, Dysport, Vistabel, Xeomin & Bocouture. At Skin Transform we use the brand Bocouture. They all have the same active ingredient of Botulinum Toxin A, which temporarily relaxes muscles when it is injected into them. With facial muscles this helps to reduce the appearance of lines.

The procedure can vary according to how many areas are to be treated and this will be discussed at your consultation. A numbing cream is applied and a very small needle is used to inject the solution into the treatment areas.

EXCESSIVE SWEATING

Sweating is one of the most important and natural ways in which the body cools down and regulates temperature. However, if you sweat more than normal, you may be suffering from hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating.

Small quantities of botox are injected into the underarm skin.

These injections paralyse the tiny muscles just under the skin, which squeeze the sweat out from the sweat glands, through the pores to the surface of the skin.

Skin rejuvenation

DERMAL FILLERS

Hyaluronic acid is found in skin cells and keeps skin plump and hydrated. Over time the ability of skin to produce Hyaluronic acid decreases and skin can begin to look think and sag.

Cosmetic dermal fillers (such as Juvederm Ultra/Teosyal/Radiesse) are safe, natural and are made of hyaluronic acid.

Cosmetic dermal fillers come in various preparations which can be tailored to the area being treated. They can be used to restore volume, smooth out deep lines and also provide subtle enhancement.

The procedure lasts 30-45mins. A mild anaesthetic cream is used to numb the skin prior to treatment for your comfort. The filler is injected with a very fine needle just underneath the skin. The filler also contains anaesthetic making the procedure simple and painless. The result of a single treatment can be seen instantly and can last for around 6 to 18 months depending on the individual, treatment area and preparation used.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels can be used to ‘refresh’ tired or dull skin to give a healthy glow as a one-off treatment or to help with acne/acne scarring/ pigmentation (melasma/sun damage) /reduce fine lines & wrinkles by a course of treatments. A Chemical peel reacts with the very top layer of the skin, and speeds up the process of it coming away, revealing a healthier, plumper, smoother and blemish free complexion underneath.

The procedure lasts about 20 mins. The skin is carefully prepared and cleaned. A Chemical peel solution is then applied to the skin and left on for a set time. The solution is then neutralised and cleansed from the skin. We advise using a high SPF sunscreen after the procedure as the skin can be very sensitive to the sun.

Chemical Peels come in various different strengths and preparations, which will be discussed at your Initial consultation.If you are having a course of treatments, we advise that your next peel be 6-8 weeks later and that atleast 2 weeks are left between other injectable treatments (Wrinkle reduction/Dermal Fillers)

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion treatment uses a stream of non-allergenic crystals to remove your skin’s outermost layers of dead cells. A handset is used to direct the stream of crystal over the treatment area and where necessary target specific zones. The handset then uses a mild suction to draw away the crystal and skin debris to reveal your new and improved complexion. It can improve fine lines, superficial blemishes, helps improve congested skin/enlarged pores and can reduce blackheads
The treatment is chemical free, non-invasive and achieves amazing results revealing younger, healthier looking skin from the very first treatment.

The procedure lasts around 30 mins. Straight after the procedure the skin can be sensitive to sunlight so we advise using a high SPF sunscreen
